Child in the Wild Nature Day Camp

Let’s get ready to embark on another summer nestled in the forest, embracing the wonders of nature and the freedom and joy of outdoor play.

Our team is looking forward to welcoming children, ages 5 through 12, for another unforgettable day camp experience in Montreal’s Mount Royal Park this summer!

While playing and exploring, supported by the Earth; her trees and ample fresh air, campers will have the opportunity to expand on their curiosities and creativity, all while learning about the history of the land and cultivating a meaningful connection to it. Daily immersions in nature can foster a deeper appreciation for the environment and solidify our Oneness with it. The challenges that are bound to arise each day will undoubtedly strengthen physical skills, healthy social interactions, and emotional intelligence.

Our team of educators (qualified or in the process of completing certifications in Education) are committed to promoting an empathy-rich  program that is inquiry-based and  child-led. Easy-to-practice gratitude, mindfulness and breathwork techniques are organically woven into the daily routines. As usual, all daily snacks and lunches are provided! This camp is bilingual, though our main language of guidance and instruction is in English. It is a great opportunity for French-speakers to enhance their English-comprehension skills and each year we have many Francophone families joining. Campers are free to interact with counselors and friends, new and old, in the language of their choice.

This year we are answering the call to extend our services to include Fridays! Child in the Wild Nature Day Camp will commence each week of the summer (including holidays) on Mondays for 5 consecutive days before the next session begins the following Monday.

PLEASE NOTE

Registration will open on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 6 AM. A 3-day priority registration period will be offered to returning families. 

Registration will open up to the general public on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 6 AM.

NEW CAMP SCHEDULE

Our camp schedule is weekly from Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Extended Aftercare will be available Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. To ensure proper staffing, this option will only be available for weekly registration.

LATE FEES

A $1 per minute fee will be applied after 4:00 pm (or 5 pm), when late for picking up children from the pick-up location.

If needed, please register and add the Extended Aftercare to your cart before checkout.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The provisions of the Consumer Protection Act apply.

Day Camp | Summer 2024:

• Cancellation before camp begins: You must cancel your registration by sending us an email to: admin@motherinthewild.com. Since camp hasn’t started yet, you will receive a full refund.For payments made by credit card, please note that it can take up to several days for the refund to appear on your credit card account. The amount will be automatically refunded to the same credit card that was used for the initial registration. PREFERRED: Consider switching the week to another week so your child can attend. In this case, the payment previously, made will apply to that week. Alternatively, we can leave a credit on file to be used for future activities: such as our Forest School Program, 2025 Spring Break Camp, or 2025 Summer Day Camp Program
• Cancellation during camp: You must cancel your registration by sending us an email to: admin@motherinthewild.com.A credit will be issued for the less of the following 2 sums: $50, or a sum representing not more than 10% of the price of the services that were not rendered. Please note that in the event of absence, no credit and no resumption of activity will be possible.
